UPSC CMS Exam PatternAs per the UPSC 2020 official notification, there are 2 stages to get recruited. Part-I is a Computer Based Test and Part-II is a personality Test. Here is a detailed pattern of the 2 parts. Paper-I - It is an MCQ examination, Each Question will have 4 options.
- The Total Number of questions asked are 120 for total marks of 250
- Negative Marking is applicable 1/3rd Mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
- If two or more answers are given by the candidate, it will be considered as the wrong answer and negative marking is applicable even if one of the options is correct.
- There is no negative marking for unanswered questions.
Paper-II - It is an MCQ examination, Each Question will have 4 options.
- The Total Number of questions asked are 120, 40 questions from each of the sections given above. The total number of marks for the examination is 250 marks.
- The Commission has set the time limit for UPSC CMS 2020 is 2 hours.
- Negative Marking is applicable 1/3rd Mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
- If two or more answers are given by the candidate, it will be considered as the wrong answer and negative marking is applicable even if one of the options is correct.
- There is no negative marking for unanswered questions.
Personality Test - The candidates who will qualify the Part I CBT examination, are eligible for the Part II examination.
- The Part II examination is the Personality Test.
- The Personality/Interview Test will be for 100 marks which will be taken by the UPSC Officials.
